![]() The results of the evaluation of somatic status by the Protocol for the determination of somatic status testify to its sensitivity and applicability for the detection and identification of students with difficulties in the mental development of small degree and multiple disabilities who have limitations and deficits in motor functioning and behavior, and that qualifies them for the inclusion in the program of corrective-preventive exercises and games as mandatory individual extra-curricular activities in elementary schools for students with disabilities-that is, students with difficulties in the mental development of small degree. The data on students' achievement, age, and regularity of students` attendance in physical education classes were collected and analyzed. The assessment of the need and justification for the inclusion of students in the program of corrective-preventive exercises and games was carried out by the Protocol for the determination of somatic status. Examined students had difficulties in the mental development of a small degree which was their only disability or mostly present disability with sensory deficits and motor disorder. The groups were uniformed in size/number of students, gender, and grade they attended. The control group consisted of students of general elementary schools. ![]() ![]() ![]() In the research, 24 students from first to eighth grade of both sexes from schools for students with disabilities were included. This work aims to determine the importance of evaluation of the somatic status of children with difficulties in the mental development of small degree to estimate the need for their inclusion in the program of preventive-corrective exercises and games as a form of mandatory individual extra-curricular activities in elementary schools for students with disabilities. ![]()
